Day 3: Maria Mania

Hey hey!
Another great win today eh..?! When Ana was leading 40-0 in the first game I was convinced that it going to be a very tough match but I appeared to be wrong. Very wrong ;) Great to see Maria win so easy against a big player, although I would have loved to see a big fight between the two. Anyway let's celebrate that Maria doesn't have to play Henin in the semi finals! I've seen Henin playing yesterday and I was pretty stunned. It seemed like she was playing so easy, unbelievable. I doubt that Maria (or any other player) would be able to beat her! She definately deserves to be the number one at the moment.
But back to Maria again.... I am sure that she is going to do great in the semis! If plays against Chakvetadze like she did today agains Ivanovic, she'll definitely win.

When we arrived at the Madrid Arena Maria was having a training session. It's nice to see the players train and working hard. The vibe was very relaxed and it was definately fun to see.

Other then seeing tennis we haven't done that much today. It was some sort of local holiday so all the shops were closed. (too bad for me as there is a H&M, Zara and Bershka in our street ;). We wanted to visit the big Plaza Major, but when we got there there was a big religious thing going on, the Plaza was full of people so we desided to walk on to the next stop which was the Cathedral and the Royal Palace, but even there it was totally crowded. Like crazy?! The Palace was very beautifull though (but so big!) and I made a few nice pictures.
After that we desided to take a bit of rest at our hotel, as we haven't slept much in the last couple of days. A bit of chilling, music and internet we were ready to go to see Maria Again...
