Maria defeats Haynes in Tampa

Maria easily won her second exhibition match in 2 days by defeating Angela Haynes of the United States 6-2, 6-1.


With this win Maria helped raise $218,000 for the Florida Hurricane Relief Fund.



Here is what Maria had to say after the win: "I served quite well and I got an advantage from my serve."


Maria will now take a 2 week rest and then Maria and Venus Williams will team up in doubles together December 31st in Chiang Mai. They will face Thai's Tamarine Tanasugarn and Schuchanan Viratprasert.
